Bumbo Seat Testimonials

When I first heard about the Bumbo seat I was not at all excited. After all, we already had a high chair, a swing, a bouncy, a boppy, and an exersaucer. I felt like we did not need one more piece of equipment to put our little man in. Well, one was given to us and I must say, it was the best gift we received. I don't know what I would do with out it. Our son was born weighing only 1 lb. 11 oz. so he was several months old before he could hold his head up. Once he could, the Bumbo changed our lives. We take it everywhere. On lookers think our tiny guy is adorable sitting up like a big boy when we go out to dinner. Our families loved that he could actually sit up and participate in the opening of presents at Christmas. My baby sits in his Bumbo to eat, sing, play, and be read to. If I had to choose, I would trade my swing, boppy, and exersaucer for one Bumbo. I think this is a must have for a new baby.

Dear Bumbo

After a very long stay in the Neonatal ICU, my child was well enough to go home. As you can imagine we were elated. He had been in critical condition for what seemed like an eternity. The neonatal unit we were in was fantastic and, as a small token of our appreciation we donated a Bumbo seat. I believe it sat on a shelf for quite some time before a nurse found it. This excited her because she had a patient who was several months old and could hold her head up, but was not well enough to go home. So, from time to time, when the baby was feeling okay the nurse would sit her in the Bumbo and talk or sing to her. I so wish this baby's parents could have had the thrill we did when we brought our child home, but that didn't happen. I'm sad to report that the little baby who enjoyed the Bumbo never got to leave the hospital. When I heard the news that this sweet baby had not made it, I experienced many emotions. While the end to this story is unimaginably tragic, I am so thankful that this baby had a Bumbo to sit up in on her good days. If not, her entire life would have been spent lying down or propped up. I've always appreciated our Bumbo because my baby enjoys it so much. But, when I think about this story, I thank God for that Bumbo seat.

Only yesterday we have purchased the Bumbo chair for our 4 months old son. We actually do have a brand new traditional bouncy chair for him (which he does not enjoy all too much) and therefore we hesitated to buy Bumbo - yet another sitting devise. However, we could not resist the cheerful and ingenious design. Vincent was delighted to sit down in the Bumbo! Now I can easily place him in different places all over the house giving him so much more to discover every minute. We are really very pleased with this purchase and will recommend it to our friends. I actually find Bumbo a perfect solution for the day-care centers for babies - easy to maintain, hygienic in use but above all so practical to use without belts and strings - I will definitely mention the product to the day care center Vincent is going to attend soon. We could not resist to photograph Vincent's first moment in the chair - showing amazement at being able to sit straight!! Please find the photo attached.

I am so pleased with our Bumbo Baby Seat! We have been using it since our son was just a few months old and I have found it to be invaluable. it has become our Number One 'baby accessory'! Because it is so comfy, lightweight and portable, we take it everywhere with us... the beach, the pool, the park... and especially to our favorite restaurants! I would recommend the Bumbo Seat to all parents - in fact, I love it so much that it is my 'gift of choice' for all the new moms in my life!

Dear Bumbo staff

I have just this week come across your Bumbo seat for the first time. My 7 month old daughter was sitting in it like 'Queen Bee', getting very happily fed at nursery. I have been looking for ages for something suitable to sit her in that is portable, comfortable, compact, practical and of course very safe. The Bumbo is just perfect. I got your website from the packaging that the nursery still had hold of. Of course we will be purchasing one for our own use but I am convinced that there must be a whole lot of Mums just like me who would love to have one but never even knew that they existed.

I think the product is brilliant and it would give me great pleasure to recommend something that I believe in and know that I have tried and tested it with my own children. If it helps to make other Mums lives easier then I'm all for telling the world about it!

It is my understanding that our ECI department as well as the parents of the children that we serve have since purchased several of the Bumbos. Thank you so much for making the Bumbo Seat available in the United States. My friend from South Africa originally mentioned the Bumbo Seat that she had purchased for her special needs child. I did a search and found your company in Texas!!

After reading all the information on your website I finally called you and you were so kind to answer my questions. My son is now 7 years old and is severely brain injured. He requires total care around the clock. He is unable to sit, stand, or roll over on his own.

I realize that the Bumbo Seat is designed for infants but it certainly has a special needs application. Since Jonathan is bigger (7 years old and about 40 lbs) we thought we might be able to use the Bumbo Seat during therapy. All Jonathan's therapists loved how it positioned him. One therapist mentioned that she liked how it proximated his hips so beautifully and allowed her to work with him on some trunk control issues. The therapists were also able to work on specific areas of ankles, knees, and hips by having him positioned in the Bumbo.

He is likely going to outgrow it soon since he is growing, but the price was so affordable, we have certainly gotten our money's worth. Please let us know when the company decides to manufacture one for larger children with special needs. I want to be the first one to order it!!

As you can see, my daughter LOVES her Bumbo chair. She has torticollis and positional plagiocephaly along with low muscle tone. The chair has been a wonderful addition and has made her much more comfortable. I have recommended it to the Birth to 3 department at the local school district as well as to the physical therapists that my daughter sees. Everyone is very impressed with the product. I plan on taking it with me to Children's Hospital in Seattle and showing it to the physical therapist there. I was extremely happy with ordering the Bumbo from your company.
